Committed, 2018.

2018 is going to be a big season. Not just for myself but also for Purpose.

Beyond just taking part in races for personal goals (I’ve signed up for 3 major ones so far), these are also the platforms for Purpose–regionally, and beyond. To me, events like these are the best times to know and get closest to actual users. Better than startup conferences or trend reports ever will be.

It’s an opportunity to get to know the real users. Athletes who make Purpose what it is. Seeing them in action, myself included, on the course in a Purpose is extremely heartwarming. It’s knowledge that we’re releasing products athletes believe, and trust in to help them perform. Wearing them myself (of course, I do), it’s the understanding of what can be improved upon for the next set of releases. Together, these are real-world endorsements from real people who matter.

In pursuit of my own personal goals, I have registered for these races so far (more to come) – Powerman Putrajaya, Ironman 70.3 Bintan and Ironman 70.3 Langkawi. At the same time hosting Purpose events at these locations. Some are more important than others; either due to important announcements or just community outreach to give back to our supporters. We have one announcement to make but will wait for a little more clarity while different parties talk before confirming on what this is.

So the truth is, races are no longer just about pursuing my passions or personal bests. They are also about Purpose. These two have become intrinsically linked. It’s no longer enough to set goals to what I can accomplish, it’s even more important to chart what Purpose can become.

While working on our 2017 reflections campaign, it’s amazing to see what Purpose has achieved in the past 7 months since launching in May

.I am truly inspired to make the 2018 plans come to fruition.

Do join me.
